Simple Tips for a Healthy Summer

While our immune systems are complex and influenced by several different factors, taking care of ourselves during this time can be helpful in effectively fighting infection and disease especially during this COVID-19 pandemic.

1. Eat Foods with Probiotics

Foods such as yogurt, kefir, and sauerkraut have probiotics and can help your body fight off disease by supporting the good bacteria in your gut.

2. Rest Well

Aim for 7 to 9 hours of sleep every night. Try to have a consistent sleep schedule so that you can enter deep and restful sleep every night.

3. Stay Hydrated

Symptoms of COVID-19 such as fever, diarrhea, and vomiting can cause fluid deficit in our body. Drinking water consistently throughout the day can help your body fight the virus and support your body’s immune function.

4. Consume Foods High in Vitamin C and Zinc
